Step 1: take the train to stop 582, switch to train 908, and take that to stop 315. Check Step 2: Take buss to stop 6. Check Step 3: Speak to someone in charge at the School. No Check.
Kaylyn had followed the instructions that her Foster Mom had given her yesterday. The Week prior had been spent packing, checking, packing more, and not to mention some last minute scrambling. She had gotten on the train alright, switched fine too. The buss was late, but she still managed to get on that and to the stop alright too. Now, here she stood at the end of the Drive Way for the School. The gate was open, like they were expecting her, but she was still a little afraid. Something she wasn't used to.
She stood there, a black and neon green backpack slung over her shoulder, and an orange duffle at her feet. She was late, and she knew it. It was well past dinner time, at least, the 6 o'clock dinner time she was used to. It was close to 8:30 p.m. She stared up the drive way one last time before picking up her duffle and heading up to the school.

John swiftly headed out the front door, jogging down the steps on the way to his car. For once he was actually going home for the night. He stopped when he saw Kaylyn. "Hi."

Kaylyn looked over the man curiously, her eyes changing from a chocolate brown to an inquisitive green, "Hi." She paused before saying anything more.
"So you work here? I'm supposed to meet someone who works here. They didn't tell me who, but I'm pretty sure this it the place, it isn't too late is it? Do I have to come back tomorrow? I hope not, because I don't have the money to go back to my Mom's house at this hour."

John laughed. He ran his hand through his thick dark hair and scratched the back of his head. "No, no, I don't work here. But I know the people who do." He smirked and chuckled to himself, "They're a bit... busy at the moment, and I don't know anything about how they operate... But um... I suppose you could stay at my place instead of going home. I've got plenty of room." John tried to maintain his smile as he realized how creepy that sounded.

Kaylyn narrowed her now 'so brown they're almost black' eyes at him.
"You're not one of those kinds that is gonna offer me candy to get in your car with you, are you?" She asked suddenly. He didn't seem creepy, but he did leave the school rather quickly.

John shook his head, laughing a little. "No, but you will have to get in the car, unless you want to walk." This wasn't going well.

Kaylyn shrugged, where was the harm. The poor guy seemed more disturbed at the thought than she did.
"Okay." She said as she tossed her orange duffel bag to him, "Lead the way."

"Right." John walked past her, checking breifly to be sure she was following. John lead her to his black convertable sports car. Very gentleman-like, he opened the passenger side door and waiting for Kaylyn to climb in. After that he lept over to the driver's seat and inserted the key. "My name's John, by the way."

"Kaylyn. Call me Kay, or Lyn, or well, anything the pertains to me and I'll answer." She said with a shrug and she examined the car. It was nice. Really nice. She liked it.
"So John, how far away do you live?"

"I have a loft in town," he said as he pulled out and headed down the road, "4.576 miles to be exact."

"You measured?" She asked, slighly amused, and surprised. Who counted how far away their house was from one place to another? That was odd.

"No," John said, shaking his head, "I just know."

"Just know huh?" She nodded and looked around before asking something else, "What else do you 'just know'?"

John nearly choked on air as he attempted to surpress a laugh. "Well, where do you want me to start?"

"Start? What are you, a human encyclopedia?" Kaylyn asked as she glanced at him before looking around the car aimlessly.
