Jean, or Phoenix, sat, or hovered, between two ancient weeping willow trees, 6 feet off the ground, in her Phoenix uniform. Legs crossed, the ground around her for 6 feet sloped downwards slightly and cracked, the air around her shimmering from raw power she called upon her telepathic power to create a 'magic mirror' of sorts, a circle of energy in which all the encounters between her fellow mutants and the monster Taint. Reconstructed by memories 'borrowed' from her fellow X-Men, and the band of mutants under Mars' orders, she replayed the same scenes over and over, her eyes, glowing softly golden, intent and in thought. "So much power... From others..." Having been hardly seen around the Institute, flying off for days, looking for what no one knew, she would only sneak back, in the dead of night, to see her fiance or use the Professers library, packed full of information, all of it useless. She hated not knowing, hated waiting. ((Tying up some loose ends, maybe))

(It's MINE! *drops cage over all three and locks in from the inside*)
Logan knew that smell. How could he not? It was something he looked forward to every day. He allowed Jean's smell to lead him outside where he quickly spied his wife-to-be. He grinned a big stupid grin and headed over to her, then, everything went horribly terribly wrong. "OH MANDY!!!" Logan sang at the top of his lungs, which was surprisingly loud for someone who spoke as little as he did. "WEL YOU CAME AND YOU GAVE WITHOUT TAKIN' BUT I SENT YOU AWAY!!! OH MANDY!!!!"
(note to everyone out there who is dying in horror: Hugh Jackman is actually a really good singer.)

If Jean could have fallen from her telekenetic perch, she would have. Instead, her head just snapped up and around, 'magic mirror' dissapating, a little peeved at being snuck up on. But when she saw it was Logan, singing, none the less, she smiled a goofy smile. Standing from her cross legged position in the air, she gently let herself down in front of Logan, eyes laughing and saying 'What on earth are you doing?'

"What am I usually doing? Nothing." Logan was bouncing ever so slightly as he stood there.

Jean did laugh outwardly this time. "Whats this? Logan, excited? I never thought I'd see the day... No, tell me, whats going on?" She joked, gently taking his hand, a golden spark of energy leaping between them, not painful, but intimate and warm.

"Nothing's going on," he was still grinning, whether or not Logan was aware of it. "What would make you think that?"

She gently kissed the corner of his mouth, indicating his smile. "Thats going on. It's nice to see you smile." Her hair and short leather jacket blowing slightly in an unusually warm breeze. "Did I forget some important date??"

Suddleny her eyes narrowed and her smile dissapated. She had both of Logan's hands in hers now, and her gaze was on the ground. She seemed to murmur something under her breath, but after a few secnds her head snapped back up. "Have you ever wen't flying?"

It was Logan's smile's turn to disappear. it was replaced by a look of fear, "...You know how i feel about flying."

"It's not nearly as hard as thinking happy thoughts. And I haven't dropped anyone or fallen yet." But seeing that the fearful look on his face was still present, she gave up. Not something she normally did, but oh well. The late afternoon sunlight washed over them in it's rich, yellow tones, casting the dimond on Jean's ring into prisms of light. "How about we do something tonight? Get out of the Mansion, away from... This 'Taint' buisness."

"Where do you want to go? Or I could go get ready and we could just drive off somewhere." Jean said, and one couldn't be sure if she was sarcastic or serious, only her dancing eyes betrayed her.

"Let's just go where ever the wind takes us," Logan said in an attempt to be poetic and quite aware that he was failing.
