Will walked alone in the moonlight. It was a full moon. He loved breathing the cool air and looking at the world under the pale blue glow of the moon. It was a beauty he had neglected for a long time. It reminded him of a girl, not linwe, not anyone anywhere near here, one from his time in British Columbia. A girl he could talk to for days on end and never tire of her. He knew she'd always be there for him and he'd do the same for her. He smiled every time he saw her, basking in that glow only she had. And she'd give him this shy smile that made him feel like he was the only guy in the world that recieved that masterpiece. He turned on his music and listened to the song he thought fit her.
"Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry You don't know how lovely you are I had to find you, tell you I need you Tell you I set you apart Tell me your secrets, and ask me your questions Oh lets go back to the start Running in circles, coming up tails Heads on a silence apart
Nobody said it was easy Oh it's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy No one ever said that it would be this hard Oh take me back to the start I was just guessing at numbers and figures Pulling your puzzles apart Questions of science, science and progress Do not speak as loud as my heart Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me Oh and I rush to the start Running in circles, chasing our tails Coming back as we are
Nobody said it was easy Oh it's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy No one ever said it would be so hard I'm going back to the start"
('The Scientist' by Coldplay)

Linwe had followed Will, hoping to catch him and talk to him. As she heard the music, she realized he probably wouldn't want any company, and had a distinct feeling he wouldn't want hers at the moment. she turned around quietly and snuck away, hoping he hadn't noticed her. Her heart ached for him; he looked alone and vulnerable in the soft moonlight. She pushed back some traitorous tears and kept going, simply pointing when her bags, which always follow her, stopped uncertainly. The turned around and she lay down on one, tired. They carried her back inside as she slept.

(( No reply except; Awww.... ^=^ And Linwe, your post has got to be one of the single saddest things I have ever read. Props to you, if that was your goal. ))

(Certainly you can, dear friend. Follow me, note something, say a bag showed up. Anything, if you would like to continue with this post.)

Will, turned back towards the Institute. He walked slowly, thinking. He saw movement to his left, Linwe's bags. He tilted his head slightly and walked slowly towards the source of the movement. He saw her sleeping upon one. He smiled. She always surprised him when he needed it most. He noticed that the bags slowed as he approached, as though they knew she was safe while around him.

Linwe shivered in the night air, grunting slightly and curling up on her bag. She whimpered, wriggling around, and then calmed down again. Her bag moved with her, trying to keep her from falling off. It wasn't succeeding, though; she was halfway off already.

He smiled and lifted her up with his telekinetics, "can't fall off of air" he muttered to himself, half coherant. He tried to be slow and gentle with her as to not wake her up

Linwe shivered again and woke up, still cold, to realize she was floating. She cursed and told herself to go down, but she didn't. After a confused moment, she realized she wasn't the one holding herself up. She looked up and blanched as she saw Will. "Will! I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to interrupt you, I saw you and figured you'd want to be alone..." she trailed off, unsure of what was going through his mind.

he looked upon her with his eyes, the blue seeming to be screaming out loneliness. "I don't mind" he said humbly, looking at her. Things had been so different lately between them, but at this moment he realized that they hadn't changed. "want down or you like being in the air?" he said very quietly with a slight smirk

She looked at him knowingly. "What do you think?" she asked slyly, wondering what he would answer. She held a cool composure, but inside she was jumping for joy. He was talking to her, flirting almost, and they were getting along great. She wondered if it would last.

"I think you need a blanket" he said noticing her shivers. He pulled off his coat and draped it upon her, smirking at the site of a floating girl with a coat hanging over her.

She smiled, pure adoration pouring over him. She snuggled up in his coat and smelled it, sighing happily.

He locked gazes with her, finding what he craved most beneath those eyes. What had he done to deserve that ?

She colored under his gaze, hers flicking away momentarily. "Feels kind of like deja-vu to me.. you?"
