"Well that doesn't seem logical some how," Travis said with a frown and a look of concentration on his face. "Has it always been like that?"

"For as long as I can remember."

Travis got up from his chair and wandered into the kitchen, rummaging around, presumably preparing himself some food or drink. He seemed to be lost in thought and almost oblivious to John as he came over to one of the posts sectioning off the kitchen and leaned against it. "So how is your vision otherwise?"

"Fine I guess... But..." John wasn't sure if he should say this... he had this habbit of giving people more information than they need... or should have for that matter. "Sometimes... I see certain people in color."

Travis looked startled, "What? How on earth is that even..." he paused and then slowly asked, "Is there anything these people have in common?"

John shrugged, "Dunno... A lot of them lose their color before I even get a chance to talk to them."

Travis looked frustrated and then quickly schooled his expression into something more pleasent, "Well that's quite odd." he said and then moved back into the kitchen. "I'm gonna make myself something to eat so you can just veg in the living room or something, remote's on the coffee table if you want to watch some TV."

John rolled over on the couch, his back facing outward.

Travis made himself bagel and poured himself a glass of orange juice. Mentally he made himself a note to go grocery shopping, it was a little odd that all he had in the house was breakfast things. Especially since he never ate breakfast, well maybe more puzzling than odd. With a shrug he walked back into the living room, munching thoughtfully on the bagel. Come to think of it, who actually bought his groceries? He didn't recall ever buying bagels before but there they were. He shook his head with a sigh and then looked over at John, "John?" he called softly just in case the man had fallen asleep.

"Hm?" John turned slightly, cracking one eye open.

Travis smiled at him, "Sorry if I woke you, I was just wondering if that Advil had kicked in yet." he said, perching on the arm of one of the chairs. "If not I think I know something that could help."

"No kicking from the Advil yet," John muttered, "just the angry mule."

Travis whinced sympathetically, "Well I could ease it slightly for you, if you don't mind me invading your personal space for a bit." He made a face. "You know no matter how I phrase that, it always ends up sounding... wrong."

"If it'll stop this headache, I'm all for it."

Travis nodded and set the other half of his bagel and his orange juice down on the coffee table. "Lie down flat on your back and close your eyes. I'll be right there." He said and then walked into the bathroom. Pulling out a wooden box from a cabnit he opened it and rummaged through it for a minute, lifting up a few small bottles and reading their lables before putting them back in the box again. Finally he found the one he was looking for and set it on the counter while he replaced the box.
